Exploring Polyface Farm
Polyface Farm has an open door policy. Anyone may come anytime Monday through Saturday to see anything anywhere. Please respect the privacy of private homes. We have a completely transparent farm operation and truly welcome the integrity that this openness creates. If you come to stay during Monday – Saturday (store is closed Sundays) and want to also purchase products, please check our store hours. For the farm's policy about working with us for a day, please see our Tag Along page. The farm is a total of 960 acres. On Farm Stay guests are welcome to hike up the mountain road (3.2 miles to the top) to see pig pastures and ponds that feed and supply water for the livestock. You can refer to the farm map in the Polyface farm store for directions.
We are happy for brief interactions and pointing guests to their individual interests of things to see on the farm. We love talking and interacting with visitors to the farm, but we are a working farm with lots of moving parts. Please respect the time of farm staff.
Unless you have a previous planned appointment with Joel or Daniel Salatin, please respect their time and keep any conversations short.
Private pool in front of the white farm house is off limits to guests.
A children's play area located in front of the farm store can be enjoyed during daylight hours.
All children (under the age of 13) need to be accompanied by an adult (18 and older) during all hours for the duration of their stay at the Tiny Stay.
While we welcome you anywhere on the farm, including roads, be aware of tractors and equipment and just step aside while the machinery passes. We have plenty of room to share.
